Siam. Turn the water off !!!

I was in Thailand twice this year. Last time it was during rainy season. North of the country. Raining EVERY DAY. I remember how it is to drive a scooter under a tropical rain for three hours. How not to have any dry clothes. How wet the moneys are. How to use canoe in case you need to get somewhere.

I felt I was transforming into a subaquatic feature (the one that lives partly on land and partly in water). Despite of any inconvenience, I liked that trip a lot . It was great. Poetic. Adventurous. Different.

But what is happening now in Thailand..God....I don't know how they will overcome this.... I worry a lot about this wonderful country (that was my home for more than 1 month in the last half a year) and about its wonderful and ever-smiling people.

And the problem is much bigger than direct damage to the country. Do not forget that Thailand is still the world's largest exporter of rice. An estimated 1.3 million acres of farmland is now flooded in Thailand.. and rice feeds a majority of the people in the world.

I would like to share the photos that I found on FB page of a guy from Bangkok Ar Kaz
Here there are just some of plenty and plenty of them...
Please, please, TURN THE WATER OFF!!!

A Tribute to Beautiful Marco

Another death in MotoGP.

Last September I was at MotoGP race in Misano and it was the day when Japanese pilot Shoya Tomisawa died during the race. And another sad coincedence was that I and my friends were invited by the team of Alex De Angelis - the pilot who rode above Tomisawa after he felt...

And now one year later... Marco Simoncelli.
I am not an expert, but my friends, who are, say he was very talented pilot... I can only say that I noticed Marco few years ago in one Italian magazine (maybe GQ). Those days I was not "into" moto world at all. But I was immediately attracted by his photos - his open and lively face, his lion's hair. I thought mmmmm so interesting guy....noble and even gentle looking... When I saw those photos in the magazine, I thought he was an artist or musician and was very surprised when I read he was a motorcyclist....

Full of life and sunshine. Look yourself.

it's just about him.... fly, Marco, fly

Discoballing

some Milano fashion week moments.
End of September.

Dangerous Keira

Few days ago in Milan I saw the new film by David Cronenberg  - "A Dangerous Method".  It's the historical drama about relationship of Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud and one their patient  - young Russian woman Sabina Spielrein (yes, she was from Russia). It's based on true story.

The cast of male actors was great: Viggo Mortnesen (as Sigmund Freud), Michael Fassbender (as Carl Jung) and Vincent Cassel amazing!))) (as Otto Gross) ... but all the impression of the film was totally spoiled by Keira Knightley. She was so helpless, so ridiculously over-acting.... especially contrasting with the perfectly tuned and balanced male trio....

My thought during the film was: where were Cronenberg's eyes during filming? Why nobody told Keira that she was such a disaster, helped her somehow

Maybe I got it wrong. But no kidding, so little girl and so big harm.

Still, want to share some shots:

Stay hungry, stay foolish. Steve Jobs.

Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

Speech at Stanford 2005

And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary
